A Medieval Moment

Hi! I'm critiquing this for Critmas and because you requested a critique!

First, I think the picture, as a whole, work very well. I think the model is well crafted, the dress is well made and the captures the lady of the manor feel I think you're going for. I don't know anything about medieval fashion, but I think it fits the fantasy version of medieval history that a lot of people are familiar with. I think the purple is a rich color reserved for royalty and I think the skirt is similar to the skirts I associate with the noble women of the French and English courts. The hair looks amazing, although I'm not a hundred percent sure the style is medieval (although, again, I don't know anything about medieval fashion). I think the face has a great balance of being gentle, but strong, and is finely crafted. The eyes also stand out in a good way, despite the distance between the doll and the camera.

Really, the one critique I have is the picture itself. I think it's slightly too dark to really see all the details of the doll. I like her face, but I think, either casting a hint of more light on it, or providing a close up picture, would help us see more of the details. Knowing nothing about medieval fashion, I can't comment too much on the dress itself or the hairstyle, but they feel medieval to me.
